Nurse-Family Partnership
Nurse Family PartnershipNurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is an evidence based voluntary prevention program that provides nurse home visitation services to any woman who is low income and pregnant with her first child. Registered nurses begin home visits early in the mother’s pregnancy and continue visitation until the child’s second birthday. read more »
Project MAS (Mothers and Schools)
Project Mothers and Schools (MAS) initiated in 1998 with the San Antonio Independent School District.
Since then Project MAS has been dedicated to helping teen parents acquire the necessary support to complete high school, become nurturing parents, and ultimately successful members of our community. read more »
iParent SA
The Children’s Shelter created the iParent SA program, a comprehensive parenting and family strengthening program with immediate and long term outcomes. Parents with children of all ages may enroll in iParent SA. Highly trained and qualified Parent Educators work with families to facilitate evidence-based parent education curricula; the evidence-based Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (S.T.E.P.) curricula to reduce child abuse and help parents become their child’s first teacher. read more >>
